A few ten thousand miles from the mileage account and five dollars is good for a hot yet relaxing weekend in New York City. Things to note:
- Red eye flights are best cured with an americano and a lox on bagel courtesy Verb Cafe.
- Even fashion design girls can be fun, especially at a place like the Nightingale Lounge.
- Bourbon sours are best followed by a speedy cab ride through the lower east side to Congee Village.
- New York thunderstorms are amazing.
- MOMA brings out the culture vulture in all of us.
- Sometimes, places like Connolly's pub just works.
- Meeting John from Tomato Design at the Beautiful Burnout ArtJam is a good thing.
- The Strand never lets me down. I now have a new memoir to read.
- Places like Monkeytown, Juliette, and the Roebling Tea Room all need to exist in a place like Williamsburg.
- P.S.1 is always worth visiting. Great art followed by a Sunday nap in their courtyard is something that, deep down, we all live for.
