My first and last attempt at making ice cream (vanilla laced with Temecula honey) ended up as drink shots rather than beautiful soft serve. Since then I've placed the ice cream machine's drum in the freezer, and forgot about it. Reading My Life in 24 Flavors and my sister's article on Real Fruit Ice Cream (which I've had) makes me want to attempt the concoctions yet again, especially since the real San Francisco summer is coming up.
